Here’s David Rees via John Hodgman with a good reason why you should vote for Obama instead of Clinton this time around. Tomorrow’s Super Tuesday, so this is relevant for a lot of people. I’m kind of hoping that it stays close so that Texas will have some say in who gets the nomination for once.

  1. If Obama is elected president, the world is going to end as we know it. No longer will the US be the super power. We will be just another country looking for a hand out from China and Russia. The war will escalate till it is a world war and Hundreds of thousands will die because he has no leadership. Please Do Not Vote for OBAMA.

  2. In what way are we not already a country looking for a handout from China? Which war will escalate? Do you mean the war that the Republican party, the party in power for 6 of the last 8 years, started against a country who didn’t show aggression against us? There’s no evidence that he’d be weak in the face of aggression and, in peace, he’s clearly the leader that most other countries would rather deal with, not because he’s weak, but because he’s reasonable.

We’re on track to no longer become a superpower because a culture of stupidity and intellectual shallowness propagated by George W. Bush. He’s anti-science. He’s anti-curiosity. His education policies are failures.

He wanted to privatize social security, which, if it had happened would have decimated thousands of people’s retirements given the market turmoil right now, a market turmoil that was brought on by the deregulatory polices of Reagan, Bush and, if elected, McCain. His chief economic adviser, Phil Gramm, was instrumental in passing legislation in 2000 that got us into this mess in the first place. So, it makes perfect sense to elect McCain….if you’re a complete idiot.
